Today’s featured game is the UEFA Europa League encounter in Bulgaria between Levski Sofia and Dundalk. Hosts Levski Sofia already have the advantage of being the more experienced of these two sides in European competition and it should ultimately show by the final whistle too.
Levski Sofia are one of the best sides in Bulgaria despite a shaky A PFG showing in their last campaign. Nonetheless, they’re a talented side and they do boast arguably the most bizarre European form around. They’ve played four home games in the UEFA Europa League, all four of which were home defeats, three of which went under 2.5 goals, and all four of which Levski Sofia failed to score in. Their four away games have all gone under 2.5 goals and they’ve one once and lost three times. Suffice to say that they’re a solid side if nothing else. They lack a sufficient level of potency to be a constant threat in European competition but they’re strong defensively and thus always a good candidate for going under 2.5 goals.
Visitors Dundalk scare me a little for this bet as any side that can concede three times in twenty minutes against Luxembourgian opposition can be frail defensively. However, I’m taking comfort from the fact that they’re mid-season and that they’ll approach this game as underdogs, which is exactly how all Irish sides like to play. I recall Derry City making a similar trip last season to take on Levski’s big local rivals CSKA Sofia with everyone saying that CSKA would destroy them but they underestimated the cult fame of the Irish tenacity! The scoreline ended 1-0 to CSKA but it took a long time until the hosts got their breakthrough. I’m expecting a similar game today although it is worth pointing out that Dundalk aren’t as good as Derry were but it’s also worth noting that Levski don’t score as many as CSKA do.
Bluntly, this one is something of a bookies’ trap. It’s like they want you to think this will be a walkover whereas I believe it will be anything but. If Levski finally manage to score then they should win this one 1-0 or 2-0 against a determined but fairly talentless Dundalk side. However, I’m not even interested in backing a Levski win here against resilient opponents – I’m just surprised at how generous the odds are on going under 2.5 goals today!
Verdict: Under 2.5 goals at 11/10.
Thursday’s Picks
My tips:
As ever, below are my recommended value tips for today in no particular order:
Valletta vs Ruch Chorzow - away win at 11/20.
These odds are too long! Polish sides may not travel well but Ruch were exceptional in Kazakhstan in the last round so I’m very confident that they can do the job in Malta. The odds should be closer to 1/3 for this one as I expect Ruch to ease to victory here against an inferior and relatively impotent host.
Verdict: Ruch Chorzow to win at 11/10.
OFK Belgrade vs Torpedo Zhodino – lay OFK Belgrade at 7/4.
If this isn’t drastic over-estimation of the hosts, then I don’t know what is. Serbian football has stagnated over the past couple of years – even Red Star and Partizan don’t boast the same threat in European competition anymore. OFK Belgrade are a defensive, low-scoring, uninteresting side and they look far too short to me here with that in mind. They’re not the most experienced of sides in this competition and whereas I won’t deny that they are better than their opponents today, I still don’t see why they’re so short. Serbian sides are famed for not scoring enough goals and whereas their opponents today follow a similar style of football, I still don’t see the reasoning behind OFK Belgrade being such favourites. Torpedo aren’t a particularly good side but they’re tenacious and will hold onto a 0-0 here given chance and that’s exactly what I think will happen. They’re mid-season so do have match practice and they’re facing a very similar side so expect a physical game here. However, laying the hosts today looks unbelievably generous at 7/4, as does going under 2.5 goals.
Verdict: Lay OFK Belgrade at 7/4.
Elfsborg Boras vs Iskra-Stal – under 2.5 goals at 11/10.
Moldovan sides have an unfortunate record of being very hard to beat in European football nowadays, just like their national side is starting to become. Never underestimate them or you’ll get burned. Iskra-Stal are not one of the better sides in Moldova and are largely inexperienced in European competition as a result but they’ll set up their defence the same way that the giants of their country too – eleven men behind the ball – which makes them hard to beat. Elfsborg are the superior side but they’ve yet to convince in the Allsvenskan this season on a consistent basis. They’ve been ferocious at home with five wins in seven games and averaging scoring nearly three goals per home game but this is a very different opponent indeed. Elfsborg are certainly good enough to win this game but it depends how long the Moldovans hang on for as to how many goals will be scored. I don’t think Elfsborg will score early in the game so going under 2.5 goals at 11/10 could be a good bet here although naturally do approach with caution – If Elfsborg’s application is correct then this game could end 6-0!
Verdict: Under 2.5 goals at 11/10.
Gorica vs Randers – away win at 21/10.
How on earth are Gorica favourites for this game?! It’s either a massive market over-reaction to Randers’ defeat in Luxembourg with an under-strength side (as they’d already progressed) or it’s been based on their domestic displays last season. Either way, Randers most certainly are the better side here so I’m a bit baffled at the odds on show here. Gorica love to score goals, which I admire them for, but their defence is incredibly weak and should get exposed easily today. This Gorica side has somehow even managed to lose at home to Rabotnicki Skopje in the past few years in this competition so I don’t have a lot of faith in them! A narrow win at home to FC Lahti of Finland last season did little to improve my confidence in them either! Gorica’s tactics are not yet fit for European use and I think they’re up against a side that will punish them for it. When Randers apply themselves correctly, they’re one of the best sides in Denmark. They’ve demonstrated that already this season against a weak Luxembourgian opponent by beating them in style and resting players for the return leg. Don’t underestimate Randers though - they really are a good and spirited side. They’re far too long to win this game so I have to back a Randers win at very generous odds of 21/10.
Verdict: Randers to win at 21/10.
Dinamo Minsk vs Sillamae Kalev – home win with -1.75 handicap at evens.
Belarusian football is very strong at the moment and Dinamo Minsk are one of the two fore-runners of it along with reigning Vysshaya Liga champions BATE Borisov. Dinamo Minsk are playing very well this season by being clinical and keeping clean sheets. They have a good record against Baltic sides and Sillamae Kalev aren’t really good enough to be in this competition. The visitors had a great campaign last year but they’re not one of the top sides in Estonia for me – they’re fourth at best. They like to attack and their defence is quite weak in comparison to the level of attack that they’re facing today so you have to feel that the hosts have enough about them to do damage today. Dinamo Minsk need to score early in the game as they play possession football and that doesn’t always bring about the most goals. However, they’re facing an opponent that they can easily overwhelm given the breaks and I like the chances of them doing so, particularly with the handicap at such good odds.
Verdict: Dinamo Minsk to beat the -1.75 goal handicap at evens.
Zestaponi vs Dukla Banska Bystrica – home win at evens.
This is a dubious call but one that I like. Georgia is never an easy venue for an away side as poor Faetano of San Marino discovered last round as they were destroyed by their hosts. However, Georgian sides don’t tend to score many at home so I don’t usually back them. That said, Zestaponi are the exception; they love to score goals, especially at home. They’re very much an attacking side and I expect them to use that advantage as well as their experience in European competition against their Slovakian opponents today. I think the two sides are quite well-matched but Banska are yet to play a competitive game this season and haven’t appeared in European football for five years now. I think the visitors today may be undone by momentum, experience, and potency, although I can only emphasise caution as they’re two well-matched sides, as I’ve stated already. Expect plenty of goals, either way!
Verdict: Zestaponi to win at evens.
Molde vs Jelgava – over 2.5 goals at 3/4.
Molde have had a terrible Eliteserien campaign this season. They’ve missed players, admittedly, but they’re leaking goals for fun. They’re by far the superior side against Jelgava but you have to feel that Jelgava can score here because Molde concede goals so easily at the moment. Molde’s returning players have given me confidence in their ability to find the net so that doesn’t concern me – Jelgava aren’t good enough defensively to keep them out – but it’s their defensive ineptitude that intrigues me here. For me, over 2.5 goals in this game at 3/4 should be a bargain as I expected it to be far shorter than that, especially given Molde’s ability to concede three goals in two minutes as shown against Lillestrom domestically!
Verdict: Over 2.5 goals at 3/4.
Stabaek vs Dnepr Mogilev – over 2.5 goals at evens.
“Stabaek” and “over 2.5 goals” are two things that walk hand-in-hand everywhere. Stabaek cannot defend and love to attack. They’re clinical, they’ve got good players and finishers, and despite the problems they do have at the moment, you just know that they’re going to score goals today. Dnepr are a strong defensive unit but Stabaek have a knack of exploiting defences of this nature at least once and if Dnepr come out to play Stabaek, they’ll be destroyed. That said, Stabaek cannot defence so you may see Dnepr do something relatively unthinkable in their defensive world and attack to try and sneak an away goal as I don’t see Stabaek winning in Belarus in the return leg. Eitehr way, barring Dnepr having a lot of fortune against Stabaek today, this game will go over 2.5 goals. Dnepr are a side that I respect a lot but they don’t have a good enough defence to keep out the likes of Stabaek.
Verdict: Over 2.5 goals at evens.
Kalmar vs Dacia Chisinau – under 2.5 goals at evens.
This preview follows a very similar vein to that of Elfsborg vs Iskra-Stal. However, for me, this one has even more chance of going under 2.5 goals. Kalmar have been fairly unpredictable domestically this season but always enjoy their under 2.5 goals games. They don’t score enough but like to keep the ball so they’re not an easy side to face. Dacia are one of the best three sides in Moldova and are very experienced in European football as a result. I’m 100% certain that they’ll park the bus in front of the goal in this game and they’re worryingly good in defence, usually. I don’t see low-scoring Kalmar doing too much damage and I don’t see any away goals here so we should see under 2.5 goals today.
Verdict: Under 2.5 goals at evens.
Maritimo Funchal vs Sporting Fingal – under 2.5 goals at 6/5.
My first reaction to these odds was quite simply “eh?”. How can a home side that barely averages scoring 1.5 goals per home game domestically, a side that has never competed in a home game in European football where more than one goal has been scored, have a game against a tenacious and defensive opponent priced at 6/5? It’s absolutely mind-boggling – I’ve no idea where these odds come from sometimes! Maritimo are a good side and they are the better side, yes, but them scoring twice in one game is something that they seem to dislike doing! Fingal are going to come here for the draw and I don’t see them having much of the ball as a result, and thus not scoring. However, they’ll park the bus so this game has got under 2.5 goals all over it in my eyes – hell, I’m not even that confident that Maritimo will win the game!
Verdict: Under 2.5 goals at 6/5.
Siauliai vs Wisla Krakow – lay Wisla Krakow at 21/20.
Lithuanian football doesn’t deserve the long odds that they keep getting in European football and for me, this is a classic example. Wisla are a very good side on their day and are giants of Polish football with lots of European experience. However, they were rather poor last season with their displays, largely due to struggling to score against stubborn defences, which is exactly what they’ll face today. Siauliai are not one of the best sides in Lithuania but they know how to defend and Wisla struggle against this type of defence, generally. Siauliai are mid-season; Wisla are yet to play a competitive game. Wisla have won once in their last eight away games in European football. For me, I can’t see why Wisla are so short, particularly considering their attacking problems. Laying the visitors today looks far too generous in my eyes and should be worth a punt today.
Verdict: Lay Wisla Krakow at 21/20.
Anorthosis Famagusta vs Sibenik – lay Anorthosis Famagusta at 29/20.
Anorthosis fucked me up twice last round; I hope they won’t again!
Anorthosis are facing a much better side this time around though so they should struggle. They’re not as good as they were and they generally don’t score enough goals. Sibenik struggled against Maltese side Sliema Wanderers last round, not because of a lack of possession but because of a lack of goalscoring. Defensively, Sibenik are very, very good so don’t underestimate them here. They much prefer playing as underdogs and I expect a difficult match for Anorthosis as a result. I’m concerned that Sibenik don’t score enough goals, particularly having sold their best striker in summer, but I can see them holding a generally low-scoring Anorthosis side to a draw here today so why laying the hosts is so long is beyond me – Sibenik are very assured defensively as it’s the strongest part of their game by some distance.
Verdict: Lay Anorthosis Famagusta at 29/20.

I’m not fond of big accumulators but Dinamo Minsk, FC Honka Espoo, MyPa Anjalankoski, Ruch Chorzow, Zrinjski Mostar, FK Ventspils, and Austria Vienna at 4/1 looks very interesting indeed.

Fire -120 pk draw no bet
fire lost to rsl 1-0 . They lost on a penalty that was rubbish. They outshot rsl too.
Morelia is a bunch of busters. Should be an easy win but to be safe took the pk. Morelia won’t score. All we need is one goal.

Hey Ian, thanks for your picks. Unders look delicious today. Wouldnt it be nice to add a little note to picks, like on a scale of ten, for us to know how much do you trust that pick?
8/10
ian and i regularly communicate telepathically
He does! :) im going with a few overs/unders today too. Thanks Ian.
Woodlands Wellington v Albirex Niigata
Woodlands conceded 9 goals in their last 2 games, Albirex have shown very strong performances against Etoile, and Home United, the 2 best clubs (my opinion) this season.
However there is a factor working against Albirex today. The injuries/suspensions seem to favour the home side today.
Woodlands welcome back Kazuki Yoshino in defence to partner Azli Mahmud. Alot of people believe this is the reason they havent been showing up defensively. In attack they welcome back Abdelhadi to partner fellow morrocan Lajane so they should be much more dangerous on the attack.
Albiirex will be without captain Mitsuki Ichihara while defender Ryuta Hayashi is also suspended.
It is because of these factors that the bookies price albirex at a generous evens. However, there are 2 things i dont think the books have spotted.
Firstly, injuries dont really affect albirex. They have a bench full of hungry hungry players who want to be given a chance to shine, because their ultimate goal is making the first team in Niigata.
Secondly, Wellington coach Kumar has said he will be giving match time to youngsters until the season finishes. This is a losing tactic, its kinda like bringing on youth players when your losing in the champs league, all is lost but at least you can give them some experience. I expect a few reserves to be playing today.
Albirex are too well drilled to be exploited by Woodlands. What i like about this game is that Albirex are priced at evens, the books seem to be judging this from statistics throughout the whole season. However as i said before, this is a very different Albirex side ever since they received reinforcements (Nishihara+Castanheira) 3-4 games ago.
I don’t think Albirex will run away with this game, they will do just enough to win.
Main Bet
Albirex Niigata @ 2.00
Sold!
I’m buying!
Ab
I pray you’re right as i got a lot of catching up to do as i lost heavy the past few days! LOL
Bought a single on Albirex too!
dont go nuts on this guys, i liked the past few games more than this but albirex really really really should win this game
woodlands are rubbish
what do you think of the three day break for albirex. will it hinder them tonite? woodlands are back after 8 days
albirex have a young squad so they should cope, 3 days rest is generally enough for footballers
the problems come when they have like 3-4 fixtures in 10 days
Going for a half stake on this one
Was anyone else screwed over by the Brazilian football last night?! or was it just me!
Yesterday was a nightmare, Rosenborg, Sao Paulo and Goias all failing to win for me.
Im going for C.Brugge, Stabaek over 2.5 and Utrecht over 2.5 @ 3/1
Opinions welcomed.
I got Screwed by the Brazilian and American football – my pocket is hurting very much atm! :”’(
Rosenborg screwed one and Kawasaki the other accumulator.. oh and then made a third one, took over 2.5 in Fluminense game (but at first I wanted to go with Sao Paulo over 2.5, then changed it :S ) and that was the last game and again fu**ed up! Hope Europa League will bring in some money.
Thought it was just me
Oh Yeah
oh yeah what?
count me in !!
Sao Paulo and The Fire screwed me. Can’t wait for the EPL to start!!!
Glory glory Man united,
Glory glory Man united,
Glory glory Man united,
As the reds go marching on on on
The Brazillian league fucked me up badly
Same here
Yesterday was bad day for me.
What a bad game Colorado Crew had, it hurts to see such a bad game.
What is with this Brazilian league, so low scores yesterday is that often like that? I also have a feeling everybody can win so it is hard to predict results, I will not bet again on the Brazilian league I think for a while.
SPURS till I DIE ere!! :D
Europa League doesn’t seem to have any real good matches to pick from today. Took a look into the friendlies and Stoke vs Bursapor caught my eye. You guys think Stoke can nick something off in this match? possibly a draw no bet or +1 or +0.5?
I would stay away from Stoke as i dont think they are capable of beating top teams of the Turkey league!
Stay away from Bursa, they may take this match very seriously if they have the full squad on the field. It’s a team of full suprises, like being the champ of Turkish league last year in front of Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas.
good call guys! lucky i took the advice. haha didn’t go for stoke but went for a small stake on bursapor during in-play when they took the lead!
I think Stoke can win this comfortably they are a decent side but it’s a friendly anything can happen
Need to get to bookies for a heavy double on ruch & dinamo Minsk at just under evens but I feel like I’m under house arrest here it’s a nightmare bleeding mrs and new baby grrr I know they will both win and need to recoup as down a grand this week !!
I feel like going for that too. Do you think Dinamo Minsk can clear the -1.5 handicap?
Mkw, congrats on the baby mate! I actually bought an HTC phone with free internet access after we had our baby, 3 weeks now, to be able to place bets wherever I am! In the garden, in the shower or downtown :) Works!
Anyway, congratulations again and hope everything is fine with you and your family!
what phone do u guys recommend to place bets with?
my friend uses the iphone and he says its pretty decent, but i was reading about the HTC and i really like it
good luck MKW !!!!
I’m quite confident, there is a big quality difference between these two sides, it’s the first season in Europe for Sillamäe and in Meistriliiga they haven’t convinced me either.
I think any of these I-Phone like phones work. HTC Legend/Desire/Wildfire, IPhone, Xperia etc. It´s not much difference since Bet365, PaddyPower, Betsson and a few others all have special websites that detects when their site is accessed by a phone and directs you to a special less-demanding site. NordicBet and Betsson even have special applications you can download to have an “even better experience”!
I´m using the Legend and I am so happy. Got great reviews too. Got 1mbit with it.
Did cost me a bit since I bought it but needed a new phone anyway.
Cheers guys !! On the betting front though I only bet with cash as it’s untraceable lol so I’m restricted to shop visits – ruch have dropped to 4/9 now grrrr
dont want the missus finding out ?
;)
motherwell v breidablik…..
anyone thinking of backing the away team with a head start?
both sides to score looks probable as well…
Palmeiras – Santos OVER 2,5 goals at 1.75? Any value?
19:30Differdange-Sp. Subotica,

Differdange to score @1.90!!?
All 3 4pm games unders. 2 @ evens, one at 1.8
£20 notes on each to start the day :)
Is there a stream online for s league game???
not that i know of
try google?
Hi Everyone,
which one should i take STOKE CITY vs BURSASPOR?
Thanks
I felt like going for a stoke city draw no bet but bursapor are pretty unpredictable like what Maxim and Dan said earlier. Tough choices!
Hi Richel,
I haven’t seen the fixture list for the friendlies yet but if Stoke are playing at the Britannia stadium then Stoke are definitely worth the money (again, I haven’t seen the odds so don’t take my word for it). There’s few teams that come to Britannia and come away with something to show. It’s a fortress and the sole reason why they’re still in the Premier League. I’m saying this because I live half an hour from the stadium and you should see the racket their supporters/mentalists make on match-day.
Secondly, if Tuncay is playing I’ll advise you to take Stoke. Being a Turk himself this match will be of massive sentimental importance to him because if I recall rightly he used to play for Fenerbahce and Saryaksypor or something.
It’s a friendly so keep your stake low mate.
I think it’s fair to say that yesterday was a day full of coupon busters!
Who says that the missus getting involved is a bad thing eh?! ;) She saved me big time when she stopped me from going out to town. I was just about to head to the bookie to place a bet on Rosenborg, Sao Paolo, Gremio and Columbus Crew who all failed miserably considering the teams they were facing. This actually leads me quite nicely onto my next point.
STAY AWAY FROM THE EUROPA LEAGUE!
That league will head you towards the gambler’s graveyard. I say this not because of the league itself but because of greed. There’s so many ‘easy’ matches that there’s always the big temptation of sticking teams into accumulators and almost certainly one of them is bound to let you down (fyi check yesterday!)..
Wait for the season proper to start, seriously.
If you do decide to carry on betting over the course of this month make sure you keep your stakes low eh lads. I’m actually a hypocrite because I have moments of madness when I almost go all in on bankers when I really shouldn’t be betting more than 5% of my bankroll. Harder said than done though.
Okay enough money management bullshit let’s get onto some MLS talk.
DC United vs Seattle Sounders
Hats off to DC United who have finally stopped their ship from sinking. They started the season with 8 losses in 9 games so if you consider their current streak of 1 defeat in 6 it’s a massive improvement.
I like this DC United team despite their poor performances this season. They’ve got the X Factor (fuck off copyright you can’t do me on this one!) that makes them a feared team IMHO. A rather workmanlike side with very few ‘super-stars’ or ‘marquee players’ but there’s a hidden gem in this team; Andy Najar. This young lad has taken the capital side’s supporters by storm. Aged 17, the young Argentinian has already bagged 2 goals and been a consistent performer since been given his debut.
DC United have played 4 away games on the trot so coming back home will be a double advantage. They were the better side by far in their previous two games and it’s easy to see why the bookies have made them favourites for this game.
Seattle Sounders probably should have won against FC Dallas but I couldn’t care less seen as I was on Dallas +1! Montano’s inexperience cost them the game towards the death. They’ve got Kasey Keller in goal so it’s always going to be a test trying to score one past him. Freddie Ljunberg picked up an ankle-injury and will miss the trip to the capital. However, they’ve got messyrs Montero and Zakuani who’ve scored 11 goals between them. The Sounders have also signed Swiss international Blaise Nkufo who will join up with the squad. Check his size on Google. Not in a gay way, but just have a look at the size of this lad. Sounders do have a few injury problems so be aware before you think it’s value betting on the visitors today.
The dead obvious pick here is under 2.5 goals because DC United have gone under in 10 out of 15 MLS games this season and more importantly 1 in their last 5. Ironically, that one over 2.5 match was against Seattle when they eventually ran out as 3-2 winners courtesy of a Chris Pontius hat-trick. The psychological advantage will be with DC but both teams are lingering at the bottom of their respective East/West Conference (whatever gay system the Yanks have) and neither will want to lose.
Stat-attack – The two teams have played each other four times and Sounders have won BOTH their away games against Seattle 2-1.
Mega-value pick – Seattle 2-1 correct scoreline.
Another stat-attack – All four games have gone over 2.5 goals.
Value pick – Over 2.5 goals @ 2.1 with 5Dimes.
Having said that, my only bet for this game will be to stick a very low stake on the home side (DC United Draw No Bet) just to see whether I am as good as my retarded brain tells me I am.
Good luck guys :)
yeah, i never play banker bets anymore
the best way to make money is to look for the value, even though it means backing long ( hence unlikely ) odds
thats where ians previews on the europa league come in ;)
nice previews mate, i might put a few bets down in the mls later
Cheers mate. Use a very low stake though fella because this match is quite literally the Yank version of Wigan vs Wigan.
Just hoping your Albirex bet comes in because you’ve been on fire in the S-League recently!
:D
Some cracking stories there :D Where abouts from manc you from toffee? You a student there? I’m studying maths at manchester :)
I’ve gone small stakes today, first 2 bets looking good at 3pm kickoffs. (presuming they stay 0-1 at HT for both games)
Getting stood up by a manc bird is quite depressing… I hope for your sake they were some strong goggles you had on.
Whoops replied to wrong bit xD *shoves it 1 comment down*
Haha no worries mate.
I’ve just finished third year at Manc Uni. Thank fuck for that!
I stayed in Grosvenor Place in my first year, went a bit mental on the old boozing at Printworks and ironically ended up becoming a gambler to earn a few quid. I blame Man City for getting me into gambling actually! I used to work at Eastlands and Everton were playing City that day. Cahill scored a 93rd minute header and I went BALLISTIC! No kidding! I was working in the hospitality bar and quite literally squealed/screamed and started punching thin-air a-la Cahill. The guy in charge told me to pick up my pay cheque and fuck off!
I’m staying with my missus who lives in Alderly Edge. Bit of a trek to the uni but I’m not complaining considering the place she stays in!
Where abouts do you stay mate? And first year or?
Living in the good ol’ salford :P staying at home xD Yeh finished first year, gonig into 2nd now. I used to work at city stadium also :D Got paid £9 an hour ^.^ Security work was piss easy. Yeh first year for me was constant booze, about 2 stone put on, £10k well spent, and scraped 40% in 2 exams to make it to 2nd year.
Bets looking good so far today :) Banik going crazy! 5-0 :D
Thanks mate. i was dissapointed too by the early kick off matches yesterday. I think each team has its own objective, ie. some are not interested in this league and are anxiously waiting for other major ones to start very soon.
Hey let me know of your favourite pick tomorrow. Thanks..cheeers..
Yeah hiding it from the mrs – she found out before when she came back unexpectedly whilst I was transfering my pot to a ‘safe’ place – the look on her face when I had a bundle of about 10 grand on the table. – got real grief there but funnily enough saw the ££ signs and gave me carte blanche to carry on although when the pot crashed I got out of it!! Anyway mums the word these days but the look on her face that day was a treat lol
hahahahha classic
as long as she has shopping money she’ll stay happy ;)
I broke up with an ex over gambling before.
I told her I had fuck all money to spend on her. Then one day she told me she was going to her mums and that night I’d got my stash out and decided it would be funny to throw money around the house screaming “I’ll make it rain on them hoes” and the ex walks right in and catches me red-handed. The look on her face could be used by Mastercard to make an ad – PRICELESS!
LMAO toffeeboy
Haha I remember you saying before toffee- I will get busted again no doubt – some of the girls at the bookies have kids at my kids school and I am sure someone will say someone to someone and mrs will find out – they don’t see many customers who wander In to the shop putting grand bets down that often so they must talk about me – i do hate having to go to the shops !!
I’ve had some terrible experiences at the shops mate.
I was terribly hungover the other week and went up to place a bet at the Picadilly Ladbrokes. There was this blonde behind the counter who I thought was alrite so I did the old flattering charm and got her number. Mind you I had beer-goggles on so don’t get too excited about this girl! ;) Did the whole texting shenanigans and agreed to meet her for a drink in Fallowfield. The bloody gooseberry sold me out! Little did I know that this girl was in the same tutorial as my missus. They come out the local at Fallowfield and you should have seen my face. I’d shat myself, gone to hell and back and just got in time for a rollocking from both them ladies. I blame Ladbrokes for this! :(
There was also this one time when some fat pikey ran in with a machete asking for a quid so he could buy a Sub of the Day. My mate deffo poo’d himself.
I also witnessed this guy on the roulette machine who’d had quite possibly the worst run I’d ever seen. 200 quid down the drain. His last 50 quid to get back down to London from Manchester and he goes “fuck it I might as well! I’m going to stick my last 50 on “0″ because it’s the amount of times my wife has put out (not had sex for non-English) for me in the last 5 years”..37/1 payout! He won and gave me a fiver for being his moral support and also because I wanted a pork pie.
HAHA some brilliant stories…
I watched a kebab shop owner blown 32k in one day at Hills in Bangor!! Fuck me he looked depressed at the end of the day… Next day his Kebab shop had burnt down!! Insurance job….
32 grand! Was he on crack or something?!
The most I’ve seen anyone lose is 6 grand and that was quite recently. A friend of mine from uni stuck his tuition money on Portugal to beat Mozambique. The horror when they drew! Poor Carl drank that night until he finally got a stomach pump and then found out in the hospital that his missus had cheated on him and stolen his hamster and set him free. I didn’t know whether to laugh or feel sorry for the lad!
Haha nice stories ;)
I managed to get to ladbrokes today £600 ruch & dinamo Minsk double & &150 treble with dinamo Bucharest thrown in – after all that watch them lose – toffee you are right about this league it’s easy to chuck in 1/4s 1/5s just to bolster the bets – ifs hard to be vigilant I try to bet 1/3 of pot maximum but I always struggle when izam chasing !!
Taking those rancid odds is what separates a successful gambler from a hopeless one (and I count myself as one) ironically! :D
Good luck with your bet mate.
Aye there is a fine line between buying money and poor odds !!
Any one recommand multi bet for UEFA? I lost a lot :(
I want to win bet. plz help.
thanks a lot
Keep your money in your pocket/wallet/bank/account.
Don’t chase a bet because you’ll lose more. I’m being dead serious by the way.
Does anyone know why ruch chorzow have been hacked down to 1.44???
Personally I wouldn’t touch this game because a) I hate taking Polish sides in a cup competition away from home and b) Valletta aren’t that bad of a side as people make them out to be.
Sure the Maltese football is nothing compared to the Polish standard but there are players for Valletta who’ve played in the best of leagues. Jordi Cruyff and Michael Mifsud (who has pace to burn despite being a little ugly rat) being the most notable. Terence Scerri is a natural goalscorer and I expect this lad to get on the scoresheet today should Valletta break down the opposition.
thanks for the info mate
Backing Polish sides especially in the games with those “unknown” clubs seems to be a bit risky to me. Ruch aren’t used to Maltese conditions, namely: temperatures 36-38C, artificial grass etc. Imagine what was the temperature of the “grass” when touched ;p
Besides, Ruch played without Damian ?wierblewski, and, which is more important, without Artur Sobiech.
I feel lucky today so I’m going to stick a pound on this acca just to keep some interest in today:
Brondby
Elfsborg
Honka
Molde
Besiktas
Maritimo
Maccabi Tel Aviv
FC Utrecht
Levski Sofia
Mypa
Austria Wien
I’m super confident :D
wats the total odds?
A “whopping” 6/1 lol :)
It’s just a bit of fun.
Randers
Ruch Chorzow
Gefle
Karabakh
Karpaty Lviv
ruch chorzow
ventspils -1
honka -1.5
dinamo minsk -1
mypa -2.5
vienna -1
brondby -1.5
zrinkski mostar -2.5
singles and an accumalator…thoughts???
Ruch already in play at evens after 15 mins doesn’t look good
Ruch just scored so I hope you took the bet mate!
lol i did toffee
Bit dodgy though. Didn’t expect the bookies to jump from 1.44 to evens in the space of 15 minutes. Ah well! ;) Welcome to world of Europa League!
Banik are destroying Tbilisi! I just realised this match was being played at a neutral ground because Tbilisi’s stadium didn’t match the Europa requirements. Bollocks.
Right I’m heading out for a nice relaxing pint down the local.
I just pray to God that this fat bird isn’t the one serving me food today. Last week she got a tad too excited about bringing me my sirloin steak and dribbled the gravy right on my white trainers :(
Banik are now 5 up. FML I really do hate hindsight.
Futbol24′s giving me a heart attack with all these goal popups. That’s the shit thing about playing the unders market.
6-0 now. And white trainers o.O your problem is there tbh.
Yes I took the bet resting a shade easier
I’m getting killed today!!!!
anyone else???
honka have killed my last gasp accy. this is not a good day :(
What happend in the Honka game, had them with a win by 2 goals or more, looked fine in half time but then it just died. Killed my Accumulator.
Bangor City the cup kings!
Me too. I’am done. What a unlucky day.
are austria vienna playing behind closed doors. theres nobody there!!!
Hmm 1-1
2 nil after 13mins. ian, this aint looking good :(
Big shout out to my boys in blue Bangor City!! Well in lads!
I missed out big style on the Randers game today, I got them at 9/5 for the win and put £100 down for the win… I was initially going to put £500 on the single but chickened out.. Sometimes you’ve just got to have the balls.
Disaster night!
terrible day. i lost my main bet in last match and lost my compensate bet in 45 minutes :) done for today.
Come on Brugge sort it out!
well thats me fucked for another while again. games going under 2.5 just isnt the way to go.
high five if today sucked balls
On a major scale mate! Fucking Brugge letting me down
The whole week sucked Monday £2200 Thursday £300 well at least the plumber got paid bloody ruch
Brugge is letting me down too :(
Any more tips for today games that are coming up??
What about Fluminense to win @1.44 or Over 2.5 @1.70
The over 2.5 is probably the one i’d go for..
Shall I or leave it?? hmmmm
I’ve decided to go for Santos to win @2.30
I cant remember winning a bet since the world cup finished
Going for a small bet on Fluminense to raise some capital for tomorrow.
Time to cash out for today and go out for a drink or something.
See you guys tomorrow.
i’m considering that, but scared of another 0-0!
Aye g’night I feel a restless grumpy skintight sleep coming on – time for a week or so off the betting to stop the last few hundred being wasted on a silly bet !!
Yeah those fkn nil all draws were well costly yesterday, i’m staying away
I kinda like the Palmeiras game to have 3 goals or more in it. Ok good night!
Argh. Stupid goal rush at the end of the Maritimo/Sporting Fingal game.
Terrible day.
martimo’s equaliser cost me a fortune :( I laid them and thought AMAZING! never saw odds go above 4/1 so wasnt worth backing :(
I think europa league is trying to get us broke :p Iceland and Finland also. 1 more month, then the REAL leagues come up again. Can’t wait, tbh!
i agree 100%
epl less than a month!!!
