  1. Perth glory seems to be a good and single bet today thats all!the singapore match seems dificult in my view 1st agains 2nd niigata are superior than woodland but both team are in great form and have confidance in there games!there was an specialist of singapore game where is he?good luck to all of you

    • I’ve been looking at the odds on that game and Perth just keep tumbling in from 2.80 to 2.50 (and the reds out accordingly). I can’t work out why, smeltz, miller and sterjovski are out and adelaide has a lot of firepower with Djite, vidosic (who is too good for this league) and van dijk all up front. I find it hard to back against Adelaide but they are inconsitant. Maybe smeltz is back but I can’t see it anywhere – if I do I will post.

    • Team news for Adelaide-Perth.. difficult game in my view…

This game was shifted from Sunday since Adelaide travel to Uzbekistan for their first AFC group match against Bunyodkor.

Adelaide welcome back defenders Mullen and Golec who return
from international duty, while they miss Usucar (injury) and Dilevski (groin).

Perth Glory welcome back Mitchell and Taggart but still miss their top scorer Smeltz as well as Miller, Coyne and Berger. Sterjovski left for Dalian (China).

The last game between the two teams was played a month ago with Adelaide losing at home 0:3.

H2H stats at Hindmarsh stadium: Adelaide Utd 7, Perth Glory 3, Draws 1

      • No surprises in the line ups, all players that we said we out are out. Adelaide have come out firing in their last couple of games and have been unlucky not to score early. They are tempting at 2.50……

        • yeah, i would have gone for Adelaide unless i am on a bad run, and with low confidence on going against the grain… GL

          • Smeltz and Miller were supposed to be returning for the match, and even up until today there was some talk that both would be back, hence the possible slide on odds.

I’ll admit I threw a wager down on Perth earlier in the week (whilst they were at 3.0) when I first heard both lads were returning. So feel a little bit lucky that Perth are actually winning without two of their best.

Granted that first goal was a gift and really shouldn’t have been a goal (offside). But hey… I’m not complaining. ;)

  2. Howdy fellas, I just wanted to make the users aware that TFT Tipster Competition 5 will be starting next Friday 9th March, anyone that wishes to take part can send the £5 entry fee into Ian via PayPal, clearly stating that it’s for the tipster comp. The fourth edition of the tipster comp finished last Friday, an edition that saw a brilliant three way tussle throughout, which went right down to the wire, the winner, nitrammemo, took the spoils eventually winning £40 for coming first, he paid up for the next one straight away and very kindly donated £5 back in to the competition.
The competition runs for 5 weeks, where you are asked to post a tip daily, with points awarded for correct predictions and a league table is posted on an evening, with a preview of the days goings on, the sheer competition of it all, makes it great fun and everyone that has played to date, has thoroughly enjoyed it.
Some interest has been shown already, with plenty of lads saying that they are going to be taking part, it’s appreciated, the more the merrier in my opinion.
Some new things have now been added to the comp, such as:
    1. Players will now have to email their tips to my email address from now on, once all the tips are in they will then be posted on the site by me, this is to take away the time consumed by having to wait a minute before kick off to make your post, if you are with a chance of winning. As a flaw in the system meant that, if a player was ahead, he could merely post the same tips as the chasing pack and still win, hopefullly, keeping it anonymous, will detract from both the time consumed and from people messing up anyones chances, should they be in with a chance of winning.
    2. A knockout cup is being introduced into the comp, the exact details haven’t been ironed out just yet, but basically it will run along side the comp for a small prize, £10 maybe and will work by drawing players at random against each other, they will be asked to post a tip in the relevant knockout cup thread, the player that yields the most points from their tip, will advance to the next round, as I said this will run alongside the normal comp.
    3. Wildcard Mondays – On wildcard Mondays, players will be able to tip any game of football going on in the world, still within the points system though, but the can tip absolutely any game they want to.
    4. Under 0.5 & Under 1.5 Goals are going to be added to the points system, I didn’t want to change the points system too much as it’s working well, but it is going to get a slight revamp, with all the suggestions that have been made, taken into account, the points will then be amended accordingly, there are some very close games coming up from a betting perspective, so they will be handy for me to use as a template, for the points.
    5. Obviously the chosen leagues have to be changed every time, in line with the five weeks of fixtures that run alongside the competition, so if you are thinking of taking part and there are leagues you would like adding to the comp, please let me know. Also on that note, if you have any valid suggestions or comments about the comp, make yourself heard.
If you feel you have the time to take part in the competition, then I would love to see you playing, If you would like to know more about the rules, points system etc etc, please click on the link at the bottom of this post, alternatively you can click on the red & yelllow tipster competition link, that you can see when you first come on the site. If you are browsing the comments, you will need to click on ‘home’ to see the link again. If there are still any questions you may have, feel free to contact me on lyricaldonjuanb@hotmail.co.uk, where I am more than willing to answer any of your questions, thanks!!

    • It’s Thursday again, which means another week of Premier League darts. I’m going to take a different approach this week, as last week I posted what I thought was the best bet on the main page, the bet didn’t come in, but others in quick chat got on my other bets which romped home, some of them got on Gary Anderson as big as 4 & 5/1, so here are all my bets.
1st Bet – Kevin Painter v James Wade – Kevin Painter +1.5 Legs @ 8/11 – Wade is having a torrid time of it in this years premier league, he hasn’t been in fine form, suffering some humiliating losses. Kevin Painter has been the absolute contrast to Wade, he has annuonced himself on the main stage, with such assured performances, the PDC must be really glad with their choice. Painter beat reigning champ Gary Anderson in the first week, ran 15 times world champ Phil Taylor, close the week after and made Simon Whitlock look like a monday league player last week, he has exceeded everyones expectations, including mine. I would love to see Painter beat Wade tonight, after seeing his performances in previous weeks, he is more than capable of doing so, 11/8 is a very good price, however I prefer to take a little insurance on the +1.5 legs market @ 8/11, as this also covers the dreaded 7-7 draw. I can fully see Painter winning this but with extra 1.5 legs as insurance it looks a brilliant bet.
2nd Bet – Simon Whitlock v Phil Taylor – Highest checkout score over 120.5 @ 8/11, I was gutted last week when I picked Painter v Whitlock to have highest a checkout score over 121.5, it didn’t come, however I then watched Taylor v Barney, first leg, the checkout was 131 from Taylor, that inspires me this week to take this game to have a checkout higher than 120.5, Taylor is in some fine form of late, he will be the likely source of the 121 checkout. He has hit these checkouts now for some years, with no sign of slowing down, smashing a sensational 9 darter against Kevin Painter, that sort of tungsten tenacity from Taylor has seen him, with renewed confidence, Whitlock will not be looking forward to this game.
Bet 3 – Gary Anderson v Adrian Lewis – Adrian Lewis to win @ 11/10 – Gary Anderson has been below par in this premier league, god knows why, but he has. He is a shadow of the player that was banging in 10 maximums on his own last year, I can only assume being the reigning champ has got to him, he is not been the player I know and love, he bounced back to form last week against Wade, but on current form, I’m not so sure how much that actually counts, on his day, ‘The Flying Scotsman’, is a hard player to face, but them days are not so prevalent, in this years prem.
Adrian Lewis on the other hand, is in a very rich vein of form, as we all know he is the reigning and 2 times world champ, but he is playing without fear, scoring big and finishing big, you only have to look back at the match against Taylor, where he went 5-1 up, to see how far the man from Stoke has come on. Looking at the bare bones of the stats, people would say ‘too many draws’, but the manner of his performances leads me to believe, he can take advantage of a stuttering Anderson this evening. 180′s would of interested me in this match, but the bookies have the line at 8.5, it will probably fly in, but I wouldn’t take anything higher than 6.5 or 7.5, especially in a best of 14 match.
That concludes this weeks premier league tips from myself, lets the arrows fly. :) :)

      • Don`t know out about darts so I don`t bet, but was interested to read your write up.

Was wondering (and not accusing any players here cos I don`t know) but do you get much match fixing or accusations of match fixing in darts?

        Cheers

        • No, there is no fixing, not in the premier league and certainly not in the major televised tournaments. Maybe in the lesser tournaments, it is far too closely scrutinised for that.

          • Interesting.

Might sound a stupid question, but how exactly could they tell if someone was purposefuly missing?

Surely, by nature, players have off days and every player can`t hit their intended place every time.

            • It would be very apparent to the PDC and their observers, for a player’s average to drop well below the expected would be brought into question. They would have to aim so far off the 20 or 19, not to score decently, the same with the doubles, that it would be obvious, if a player was throwing a match, there would have to be irregular betting patterns for it to be fixed, which would bring the match into question also, your right, players have off days, but to fix a match they would have to play very shockingly, once the 3 dart average was well down, the PDC would ask questions!

              • Thanks lyrical, I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions.

Good luck with the betting etc.

                Cheers

  3. Two possibilities for punters this morning:
Ukraine u19′s -1 versus Denmark u19s @3.35. These teams played each other four days ago and it finished 5:1 to the Ukranians.
Belgium u19s -2.5 versus Estonian u19s @ 2.1. These teams also played each other four days ago and the Belgians won 6:0.
French Women HT/FT versus Finnish Women @ 1.72
    English women versus Swiss @1.33.
    Best of luck!

        • To be honest, I have no idea. I don’t know anything about team news, etc. They may be rotating players. Denmark are traditionally a good European side and I’d say that could be the reason. At underage level, a couple of quality players can make all the difference. The fact that they beat them so convincingly only four days ago makes me strongly side with the Ukrainians, however, they may be putting out an entirely different team for all I know.

          • PS. In the last match four days ago, Ukraine were 2/1 and Denmark were evens. I think the odds today are simply reining in those a bit. Bookies sometimes get it wrong and underestimate teams, especially at underage level.

            • cheers again cocolleran…..i got on the Ukraine u19
-1 and watched it come in in the dentist waiting room….pleasure before pain

  4. Because of internationals even the weekend you have to be careful big boys in europe playing around the world. I dont usually do this but i have placed a large single bet for saturday already.
Div 1 Bournmouth v Charlton Charlton 10/11 DNB Skybet
I have tried to figure out stats form etc but think here they have got it wrong as i think Charlton here should be 10/11 just to win the game. Anyway just wanted to share and hardcore for me

  5. Today I bet on hockey :

    1. Kazan – UFA 1 @ 2.20
    2. SKA – CSKA 1 @ 1.35
    3. HIFK – Espoo 1 @ 1.60
    4. Olimpija – Alba Volan 2 @ 2.20
    5. Valerenga – Lillehamer 1 @ 1.85

    Stake : Medium 4/10

Hockey is really not my sport, but today doesnt have too much soccer, so I choose to put little money on hockey. Good Luck If someone is following.

  6. Can any1 please explain what an asian goal line is??? I placed a bet @ 1000/1000 on perth asian goal line (0.0,0.0) what does this mean and why not just have odds @ 1/1??? Did i win the bet? It was a double with albirex they won 1-0 n perth 2-0 im confused help please haha

    • Not big on asians myself, more of a Scandanavian man but I think it means If they lose, you lose wager, draw, your stake is returned and win, you win.

      • Why did u bet if u dont know what it means? lol
It looks like the odds/line were fucked up and im guessing it was a void bet.
I think asian goal line (0.0) means if a goal is scored u win and if no goals, u get money back – so the bookie cant win. So i think its void bet and u should win on the Nigata bet as a single?

        • Yeah it came in. Ladbrokes online only give goal line, ht/ft, and asians. They dnt give 1×2 on austrailan games for some reason!

        • I’ve been doing a minimum of two jobs simultaneously for a good amount of years now. I don’t have days off without having one or the other to attend to. I think the odd mistake is more than acceptable.
