You don’t need to be a paid up member to use the chat (but you should be one anyway ;-))
Well guys, over the past while I (Toby) have been chatting to the hosting company that runs this website to try and sort out the ongoing issues. Some detailed digging and we discovered that the website was under a sustained attack, impossible to say if the attack was meant to take down the site or just try and hit it with spam but hopefully it has been stopped now.
We have set up a better firewall to try and keep people out and I have also ramped up the security on a third party tool we use.
I don’t want to promise things will get better, but I think we may have at least helped a bit.
Regulars will have noticed the chat has gone again – this was to try and help keep the main site afloat, if you don’t mind this is going to stay off for the time being until we get a good few weeks of solid uptime.
