Really short on time today, sorry guys!

Today’s secondary featured game is the English Premier League game between Manchester United and Stoke City.

United have their injury problems but usually manage to do the business against Stoke. Away from home, United struggle in this encounter, just as every Premier League side does. After all, Stoke are physical and well-organised; who wouldn’t struggle against that? However, at home, United are Gods and score goals for fun, irrespective of their injury concerns. Valencia is in the form of his life and is actually unplayable right now, which in itself gives United a lethal weapon. Take into consideration the number of attacking options that United versus how much Stoke dislike playing on such a big, open pitch and we really should have a home win that beats the -1.5 handicap as usual.

Verdict: Manchester United to beat the -1.5 handicap at 9/10.

Tuesday’s Picks

My tips:

As ever, please find my value tips listed below in no particular order:

Everton vs Manchester City - away win at 5/6.

City have a bad record against Everton in recent times and maybe it’ll continue here today – who knows? However, Kompany is back to stop their defence looking like headless chickens and thus they have a good chance of doing well here. Everton are bereft of depth and thus their players do look tired. Moyes is a cracking manager but Everton just don’t have the depth for this kind of game, in my view. City are still missing some key players but as long as Silva starts then City should edge a tight game here. For me, there’s value on City beating a tired Everton at 5/6.

Verdict: Manchester City to win at 5/6.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Wigan Athletic – away win with +2 Asian Handicap at 4/5.

There’s simply no way on earth that Spurs are worth the odds that they’ve been given here. I like Spurs and their football but they almost always struggle against Wigan and although I do think they’ll win today, I don’t think it’ll be that easy. Spurs have been a little unconvincing lately and tend to struggle when it comes to breaking sides down (without an early goal, at least). Wigan’s defence may be vulnerable but their wide game and attacking options are not to be scorned and I fancy them to cause Spurs a few problems. Either way, Spurs are not worth the odds that they’ve been given currently – not yet, at least – and thus the Wigan +2 Asian Handicap appeals to me a lot here as a tight home win is not something I’d write off here.

Verdict: Wigan Athletic to win with a +2 Asian Handicap at 4/5.

Accumulator fodder:

Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur.

Recommended bets:

Manchester United -1.5 and Tottenham Hotspur at around 7/5.
