Arsenal vs Liverpool

Today’s featured game is the League Cup match between Arsenal and Liverpool. Just to remind you all (as if you didn’t already know!) that this is the shit trophy that nobody is particularly arsed about winning. What tends to happen is that all of the big four that can play a youthful side will then do so to give them experience. Obviously, the sides from the big four that can do this will do so, which basically excludes Chelsea, who haven’t had a good youth player since John Terry some ten years ago. This game at the Emirates Stadium shows a match-up that has been played many times over the past few seasons in various different competitions. However, the last time that Arsenal’s kids came up against Liverpool’s kids was at Anfield in 2007 where Arsenal’s kids trimphed 6-3, an extremely impressive scoreline considering that they were away from home. Arsene Wenger has long been reputed as one of the best talent scouts in the world (although bastards like me love to point out that he’s overlooked some gems he’s had on trial before now i.e. Zlatan Ibrahimovic) and I can only echo such sentiments although I’d argue his tactical finesse is a more substantial reason behind Arsenal’s persistent success in challenging for the title without having the resources to do it. What do I mean by that? I mean that some of Arsenal’s current “stars” wouldn’t get into any other side in the top seven clubs – it’s simply Arsene Wenger saying “You there! I want you to do this at this point and if you do not do that then you’ll be out of the squad” effectively because it works and he knows it. Take Diaby or Denilson, for example – neither of those two “stars” would get into any other big side in England because they’re just not good enough. Under Arsene Wenger’s machine, however, they look very good. Rafa Benitez is one of the late bloomers when it comes to producing youngsters as he’s tried rectifying Liverpool’s lack of academy produce in recent years but hasn’t successfully managed to achieve with it yet, although a few of his signings have caught my eye, namely Daniel Pacheco (former Barcelona striker), Andras Simon & Krisztian Nemeth (Hungarian strike duo from MTK Budapest), Mikel San Jose (defender poached from my beloved Athletic Club de Bilbao’s legendary Lezama academy) and Lauri Dalla Valle (Finnish playmaker signed from Jippo Joensuu – I’m entirely confident this his name is Finnish too – no trace of Italian heritage whatsoever(!)). However, these players are the future and not the present. Arsenal always have a wealth of talent emerging and this level tends to be the only level it’s shown it, either because the players move on when they become successful or because Arsenal’s first team don’t defend well enough for them to ever be successful in the Premier League again. Anyway, what I’m painstakingly trying to point out is not only that Arsenal have a better youth squad and that they’re at home but they’ve also battered Liverpool’s youngsters before in the League Cup. Effectively, the home win at 6/5 looks a real bargain for what could turn out to be a complete whitewash here.

Wednesday’s Picks

My tips:

As ever, below are my recommended value tips for today in no particular order:

Arsenal vs Liverpool – home win at 6/5 – see introduction for full details.

SV Ried vs Wiener Neustadt – home win with -1.75 handicap at 6/4. This bet is one of three that I like in Austria today. SV Ried, as I’ve maintained for some time now, are one of the best home sides in the Austrian Bundesliga. This has been proven time and time again, most notably last season where they remained undefeated at home all season and this season where they’ve won three games, drawn once, and lost once in the five games they’ve played. If you don’t think that looks particularly impresssive, consider that they’ve hosted three of the “big four” of Austrian football – Rapid Vienna, Salzburg and Sturm Graz already. SV Ried are unbeaten in five games, winning twice and drawing three times. They earned a highly respectable draw at Salzburg last match and will have taken confidence and momentum from this game. Today they host Wiener Neustadt, one of the worst away sides in the Bundesliga currently. The newly-promoted side have lost four from five away games thus far, drawing the other game. More worryingly for the visitors, they’ve conceded over two goals per game on the road this season and haven’t scored enough goals for them to even claim a “goal per away game” ratio. They’re winless in four games, losing twice and drawing twice. To put it bluntly; Wiener Neustadt are going to play SV Ried on a ground where much bigger and better sides have been humbled before. Therefore, the home win with -1.75 handicap at 6/4 looks a great bet today!

LASK Linz vs Salzburg – away win at 3/4. Although I’m a little dubious about this call, I still feel it’s got enough potential to make it a worthwhile bet. LASK Linz have won four games from twelve games this season with all of them occurring during their six home games. They’ve lost just once at home so Salzburg are bidding to become the second side to win here this season. LASK Linz, despite being 7th in the Bundesliga, are the top goalscorers in the division with approximately 2.5 goals scored per game. Their goalscoring record at home shows they score approximately 3.5 goals per game, which is astonishing considering the number of problems the side has with winning games. LASK Linz are without a win in their last four games, drawing once and losing three times along the way. LASK Linz are big conceders, as you’ve probably already gathered from the above statistics. Although Salzburg have drawn and lost their last two games respectively, they remain the better side from these two outfits and have only lost two from six away games so far this season. What finally tipped the scale in Salzburg’s favour for me was the “voodoo sign” they have over LASK Linz as they’ve won all six of their last six encounters against the Linz-based outfit, two of which were at LASK Linz without even conceding a goal. Although it is quite a risky call, as I mentioned previously, I still believe the away win at 3/4 shows significant value today.

Austria Karnten vs Rapid Vienna – away win with -1.75 handicap at 7/5. This bet is something of a no-brainer, really. Rapid Vienna are one of the best sides in the Bundesliga and will be keen to build on their 4-0 win against SV Mattersburg at weekend. They’ve won four of their last five games and scored an average of over two goals per game. Although their away form is somewhat inconclusive, they are playing against one of the worst sides in the Bundesliga – Austria Karnten. The hosts have won one game from twelve so far this season, losing three of their last five games and drawing the other two. They average conceding nearly three goals per game currently and look susceptible to being defeated by just about every opponent they encounter. Lastly, Rapid Vienna have beaten the -1.75 handicap in their last three encounters against the Bundesliga’s current bottom club. Therefore, taking the away win with -1.75 handicap at 7/5 could be a great bet here today!

Vitoria vs Corinthians – home win at 21/20. Neither of these two sides have anything left to play for this season and their recent lax attitude towards their performances have indicated that clearly with both sides claiming just one victory in five games. However, what has persuaded me to back a home win in this game is partially that Vitoria have proven to be a real force at home this season (ten wins from fifteen games, which is a record bettered only by Gremio) and that Corinthians have now lost two consecutive games, leaving them lacking in motivation and momentum entering this game. Corinthians have only managed two wins away from home all season and with the above information in mind, it looks unlikely they’ll claim a victory here. Corinthians have lost six away games this season but their biggest downfall has been their lack of goalscoring. On the road, Corinthians have managed to score just eleven goals in fifteen games, which is actually the lowest goalscoring record away from home in Serie A. Given that Vitoria average over two goals scored per game at home, you have to feel that the statistics indicating a home win here are most likely correct. With all the above in mind, 21/20 on the home win looks a good call tonight.

Gremio Barueri vs Flamengo – away win at 7/5. Although considered one of the stronger home sides in Serie A, I’m tipping Gremio Barueri to lose this one. They’ve won once in their last five games, drawing twice and losing twice. My main motivation for this game is their lack of motivation as they’ve got absolutely nothing left to play for. A few weeks back Flamengo were forced to field a drastically under-strength squad for some games due to injuries etc. Their season looked over at that point. However, since then they’ve gone on a rampage and have now won four of their last five games, including a highly impressive win at league leaders Palmeiras. Flamengo now find themselves just four points behind the league leaders with seven games remaining so this game is of great importance to the visitors. Although they’re not massively convincing away from home – like most Brazilian sides, really – I still think they’ve got the ability, momentum and motivation to win this game. I expect a close game with plenty of goals because Gremio Barueri are amongst the highest goalscorers in the league that won’t simply lie down for this game and they’re hosting a Flamengo side that very much need the points. Therefore, the away win at 7/5 could turn out to be a good bet tonight.

Helsingborgs vs Djurgardens – lay Helsingborgs at evens. This is a very risky call considering that Djurgardens are one of the worst away sides in the Allsvenskan. However, desperate times call for desperate measures and Djurgardens have been getting slightly better of late with just one defeat in three games, even winning a game along the way! The visitors absolutely need something from this game to maintain their beliefs that they can still be playing Allsvenskan football next season, albeit via a play-off against a Superettan side. Naturally, the above isn’t all I required to place this bet – I also required Helsingborgs be playing very badly, which they are. They’ve won just two games in their past eleven Allsvenskan games, leaving them looking short on goals and high on goals conceded. As I said earlier, this is a risky call but the above information makes evens on laying Helsingborgs today a potentially worthwhile call.

St.Gallen vs Grasshoppers Zurich – away win at 8/5. Grasshoppers Zurich have defied belief somewhat of late. Also virtually crucified with financial issues, a demoralised side and by having no real motivation to get themselves out of their mess, the squad have still managed to really come alive lately. They’ve unbeaten in four games now, winning three times and drawing once. They’ve even managed to overcome Young Boys Bern lately, who are the best side in the Super League, in my opinion. I don’t know quite how to explain it but I guess when you’ve got nothing to play for, you eventually reach a stage where you have nothing to lose so you all play free-flowing football with no worries and this can be the result. Grasshoppers Zurich have very strong momentum at the moment and although their away form is less than convincing currently, you have to favour them to win this game. Statistics show that St.Gallen are hard to beat at home, which normally means I’d leave this game alone in terms of betting. However, St.Gallen have now lost four consecutive games and the newly-promoted side are really struggling to come to terms with the Super League at the moment. There’s a big difference in momentum tonight, to be blunt, and the away win seems to bear good value as a result of that momentum at 8/5.

FC Zurich vs Basel - away win at 13/8. This is hard call for me to make as I believe FC Zurich are the better of these two sides nowadays. However, this game is one I can see being the result of European commitments but for varying reasons. FC Zurich have been forced to consider and even prioritise the UEFA Champions League, something they’re appearing in for the first time this year. I don’t think it’s any coincidence that since their group stage games started, FC Zurich have lost three Super League games and won just once. Before the victory at St.Gallen last match, FC Zurich had in fact lost three consecutive games, which isn’t nearly good enough for such a good side. Visitors Basel, however, have provided a spark for their otherwise stagnant season by overcome AS Roma of Italy in the UEFA Europa League. Since then, Basel have gone from strength to strength, even showing signs of recreating their former glory as they’ve won four consecutive league games, won at CSKA Sofia in the UEFA Europa League without even conceding and having put up an extremely valiant fight at Fulham in England, also in the UEFA Europa League. Basel are playing better now than they have all season – their momentum is strong and they’re beginning to believe in the own ability again. FC Zurich are still looking very shaky, in my opinion, and will do well to win this game, particularly as they’ve actually managed to lose this fixture for three seasons running now. Although I expect this to be a close game, the away win at 11/8 does look inviting when you consider the above information.

KuPS Kuopio vs FC Honka Espoo

Today’s featured game is the Veikkausliiga encounter between relegation battlers KuPS Kuopio and title hopefuls FC Honka Espoo. The hosts have started playing better football lately simply because they have to to stay in the Veikkausliiga. They’ve won three from their last five games, losing two along the way, their most recent of which was a 3-0 humbling at TPS Turku last match. The hosts are in a better position than their fellow relegation stragglers RoPS Rovaniemi and JJK Jyvaskyla but will still seek any possible points to secure their Veikkausliiga status where possible. However, despite KuPS Kuopio’s recent valiant efforts, what we’ve found out is that when they encounter a top quality side with valiant efforts because their need for points is great too…KuPS Kuopio get swept away. TPS Turku proved that last match and I rate FC Honka Espoo as being better than TPS Turku, if only marginally. The visitors average scoring over two goals per game and have won four of their last five games. The contrast of quality between these two sides is vast and when a good side plays with great motivation, they almost always win. FC Honka Espoo have to win this game to have any hope of winning the Veikkausliiga, title, which is looking unlikely now due to HJK Helsinki’s somewhat simple home games remaining. However, today’s visitors aren’t going to let it slide that easily and will be well-motivated for today’s game. Frankly, I’m beyond surprised that the odds on this game are 19/20 because there’s such a big difference between these two sides that it’s unreal. I expect the odds to drop so take them whilst you can!

Saturday’s Picks

My tips:

As ever, below are my recommended value tips for today in no particular order:

KuPS Kuopio vs FC Honka Espoo - away win at 19/20 – see introduction for full details.

Internacional vs Flamengo – home win at 3/4. Despite the recent poor form of hosts Internacional (two consecutive domestic defeats), it’s undeniable that Internacional remain the better side between these two clubs. Their home form is still amongst the best in the league with eight wins from twelve games, losing just twice on the way. Flamengo, despite being a good side, are a poor away side. They’ve lost six away games from eleven and won just twice. They’re in good form with three wins from four games but they’re going to have a very tough game here as they’ve lost three of their last four away games against Internacional, drawing the other a couple of seasons ago. For me, form takes a backseat here as there’s a significant quality gap so the home win at 3/4 looks good for me.

Swansea City vs Sheffield United – away win at 13/10. Promotion hopefuls Sheffield United journey to Wales to take on out-of-sorts Swansea City. The hosts are without a win in their last four games, drawing three and losing once. It’s more than apparent to see exactly where Swansea City’s problems lie at the moment with just a single glance at the league table – goalscoring. They’ve managed to score just three goals in their first eight games of the season, which isn’t nearly good enough, as I’m sure you’re all aware. I think it’s fair to say that they’re really missing Jason Scotland since his summer transfer to Wigan Athletic. Today, Swansea City are hosting a Sheffield United side that have won three from their last five games and are generally looking pretty reliable when it comes to winning games. I can’t see an out-of-form side that can’t score goals playing against a better side and obtaining a result so I’m siding with the away win at 13/10.

Ipswich Town vs Newcastle United – away win at 13/10. Hosts Ipswich Town are playing better than they have done all season with just two defeats in their last five games, drawing the other three. That said, it’s still more than evident the number of problems they actually have as they’ve still not won a league game in eight attempts. Today they host a Newcastle United side that were humbled 3-0 mid-week by Plymouth Argyle in the League Cup. However, I would urge you all to disregard this as Newcastle United fielded a lot of youngsters in that game as they are prioritising promotion this season. As far as league form goes, Newcastle United have won four from their last five games and are currently second in the Championship table. Effectively, Newcastle United are a better side a and are in better form so an away win looks fairly straightforward at 13/10.

Bristol Rovers vs Brighton & Hove Albion – home win at 4/5. A great start to their campaign has seen Bristol Rovers soar to third place in the table with six wins from eight games. They’ve won four of their last five games and are obviously on a massive high at the moment. Bristol Rovers aren’t a prolific side but they’re certainly effective. Today they host a Brighton & Hove Albion side that that had been on a good run before losing 3-2 at home to Southend United last match. Two wins from eight games says that Brighton & Hove Albion could be in for a long season, especially as there’s only one side in the whole division that has currently conceded more goals than they have. To put it bluntly, the visitors look like cannon fodder currently and the hosts look like the cannon. 4/5 on this selection should be a great bet!

Shrewsbury Town vs Northampton Town – home win at 4/5. Four straight defeats has now seen recently relegated Northampton Town slide to just fourth bottom. They’ve lost five games from eight so far and don’t appear to be showing any signs of getting out of their rut. Hosts Shrewsbury Town have been a “home side” for some time now and this season isn’t proving too different as they’ve already notched up two home wins. Three wins in four games has got them to seventh in League Two and form/momentum is pointing to this record being continued today. Taking the home win at 4/5 should be a good bet today.

Maag Tammeka Tartu vs Tulevik Viljandi – home win at 2/1. I know Maag Tammeka Tartu aren’t a particularly good side but they warrant better odds than 2/1, surely? It was only last season that they finished above Tulevik Viljandi, if only on goal difference. They’ve also won this fixture for three out of the last four Meistriliiga campaigns, drawing the other game. Whereas the table this year shows a clear points difference between the two sides, I don’t think there’s much in it quality-wise. You also have to take into account that Tulevik Viljandi haven’t won in five games, losing their last three on the bounce. Maag Tammeka Tartu, however, have won their last three games and have some great momentum entering this game. Frankly, I’d expect a lot lower odds but I’m happy to have a medium stake on the home win at 2/1 with the above information in mind!

Inter Turku vs Tampere United – home win at evens. After their defeat last match at home to HJK Helsinki, Tampere United’s surprise title challenge is now finished with and they look to battle out a Europa League place with today’s hosts Inter Turku and IFK Mariehamn. Yes, I am not including Haka Valkeakoski in this equation because they’re atrocious and I’ll be astounded if they make it! Basically, this match has suddenly become a lot more important than was initially thought. Fortunately for Inter Turku, they’re hosting a side that have lost more games away games than the majority of the Veikkausliiga. In fact, only three sides have lost more away games and they’re the bottom three in the Veikkausliiga! They hosts have got some good momentum at the moment as they’re unbeaten in four games, winning twice and drawing twice. It doesn’t seem to matter what form or momentum Tampere United have – they just seem to win at home and lose away, generally! I can’t say I think anything different is going to occur today, either – Inter Turku have got enough to win this game and form says that they will. Evens on this selection should be a reliable bet.

FC Koln vs Bayer 04 Leverkusen - away win at evens. Despite a disappointing cup defeat mid-week, Bayer 04 Leverkusen are playing very well in the Bundesliga. They’ve currently won four games from six and remain unbeaten in second place. Today they travel to FC Koln, a side that has managed just one victory in their six games thus far, losing four along the way. They’ve not won any games at home in this campaign and although they’ll look to make it difficult for Bayer 04 Leverkusen to play their football today, I can’t help but feel that when the final whistle goes, it’ll be an away win that has happened due to the quality and efficiency of Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The away win at evens could prove very valuable indeed today!

Szombathelyi Haladas vs Diosgyori VTK – home win at 5/6. Both of these two sides have made atrocious starts to the season but one of them shouldn’t really be there; Szombathelyi Haladas. They had a great Soproni Liga campaign last year and managed to play a few European games this year as a result of it. They’re a decent side and have proven such by gaining an impressive win against Fehervar this season. Their general form has been their let-down as opposed to their actual ability. However, their form has shown signs of improvement lately having only lost two of their last five games and having scored nine goals in the process. Despite being above Szombathelyi Haladas, Diosgyori VTK are in a worse position in my eyes because they don’t have a particularly good squad and they’ve now lost three in a row. They’re just not scoring enough goals, unlike their hosts today, who are conceding too many. I expect a lot of goals in this game but I think it’s time that Szombathelyi Haladas shone again by winning this game at 5/6.

Fylkir Reykjavik vs FH Hafnarfjordur – away win at 6/4. High-flying Fylkir Reykjavik host giants FH Hafnarfjordur in a game that arguably the hosts need to win more than the visitors. Reigning champions FH Hafnarfjordur are leading the Landsbankadeild Karla by five points currently and are starting to look settled again after a mid-season blip. When FH Hafnarfjordur are settled, other sides start to lose games against them – constantly! Fylkir Reykjavik are no exception to this ruling having lost this exact fixture for four seasons running now. Fylkir Reykjavik have only beaten FH Hafnarfjordur twice in their last ten attempts and both of those were away from home. In terms of form, there’s not much between these two sides but when you mention ability, FH Hafnarfjordur are the kings of Iceland and I thoroughly expect to see that shine through today as we make money on the outcome with superb odds of 6/4!

Sligo Rovers vs Shamrock Rovers – away win at 10/11. Just one point now seperates league leaders Bohemians and title challengers Shamrock Rovers. The visitors today have won their last three games in a row and are unbeaten in five domestic games. They’ve only lost three games all season and look intend on taking the title to the wire with Bohemians this season. Shamrock Rovers are the best away side in the division currently, having only lost once on the road this season and winning seven of their fourteen away games. Hosts Sligo Rovers may be unbeaten in three games but they’ve only won once in five games. Effectively, the hosts shouldn’t have enough to trouble the visitors today so the away win at 10/11 looks a good bet.

Sampdoria vs Internazionale – away win at 10/11. Despite a good start to the season, Sampdoria were brought crashing back down to earth by a rampant Fiorentina last match. Unfortunately for Sampdoria, they don’t exactly have the easiest of pick-me-up games as they’re hosting Jose Mourinho’s Internazionale. The visitors are unbeaten this season with four wins from five games and look set for yet another dominating season with the quality available at their disposal. There’s not too much between these two form-wise but ultimately, Internazionale have a better squad than Sampdoria on every front so the away win at 10/11 should be fairly routine.

Albinoleffe vs Crotone – home win at 5/6. They’ve taken a long time starting their Serie B season but Albinoleffe have finally won their first game of the season with a 2-1 victory over Mantova. The hosts are actually a good side but they’ve really hid it well so far with four straight defeats prior to the win. Albinoleffe will be looking to continue their mini run and they’ve picked a perfect game to do it in as they’re hosting newly-promoted Crotone, a side that still has no victories in Serie B this season, drawing four games and losing two. Their massive problem is goalscoring, something that is clearly indicated by the fact that they’ve only scored once all season. A resurgent Albinoleffe is a dangerous Albinoleffe and I fear Crotone might just get taught a lesson today. 5/6 on the home win for a good side that’s beginning to wake up looks a good bet to me!

Salernitana vs Ascoli - away win at 19/10. I’m not entirely sure why Ascoli are at 19/10 to win this game but perhaps that’s why I’m not a bookmaker. Not only did they win here last season, but they’ve not lost any game from six this season in Serie B and have won three of their last five games. They’re travelling to a Salernitana side that obtained their first point of the season away to Piacenza last match but still have no wins. They’ve scored just two goals all season, hence their problem, and let in eleven goals. It’s a considerable problem to not score goals but it’s even worse when you’ve conceded more goals than the rest of your division. For me, this has away win written all over it and can only imagine the bookies have made a slight error with this one! 19/10 on the away could be a bargain here.

Rio Ave vs Academica de Coimbra – home win at 5/6. Unbeaten after five games, Rio Ave have made a tremendous start to this campaign, one that I honestly didn’t think they were capable of. Their unbeaten status is largely due to their boring football as they’ve drawn three times and won twice by only scoring five goals and conceding two. Today they face an Academica de Coimbra side that boast a very similar record, only that they’ve lost three and drawn twice instead of actually bothering to win a game. I expect this game to be mind-numbingly boring and very low-scoring but think Rio Ave have the momentum behind them to give them a narrow victory here at 5/6.

Valencia vs Atletico Madrid – home win at 10/11. I was going to stay well clear of this game until I saw the head-to-head statistics. Why? Well, both of these sides are generally unreliable as hell when it comes to betting. Valencia managed to let a lead slip against the ten men of Sporting Gijon last weekend and lost to Getafe mid-week but have already beaten a very good Sevilla CF this season. Atletico Madrid have an even more puzzling set of results as they’ve already been demolished by Barcelona and Malaga, as well as having been held to a draw at home by lowly Almeria mid-week. There’s a lot of internal problems at the club at the moment and to make matters worse, they’ve lost Sergio Aguero through injury for a couple of weeks. Things have gone from bad to worse as Atletico Madrid are still yet to win a Primera Liga game this season and that doesn’t look likely to change as they’ve lost here at the Mestalla for four games running now. 10/11 looks to be a bargain on this one, particularly as Atletico Madrid’s defence is a real mess at the moment.

Cadiz vs Recreativo de Huelva - away win at 8/5. Newly-promoted Cadiz have found life in the Segunda Liga very tricky indeed with no wins in four games. They’ve only conceded three goals but the fact that they’ve only scored once in those four games speaks volumes. Visitors Recreativo de Huelva have won three from four games since being relegated from the Primera Liga and seem intent on returning there as swiftly as possible. Cadiz don’t have the ability nor the momentum to match a very much in-form Recreativo de Huelva tonight so I think the away win at 8/5 looks relatively straightforward.

Kalmar vs IFK Goteborg – away win at 9/5. Risky call? Sure, why not! Since the loss of the two Elms, Kalmar have really struggled in their games, which is something you’d expect from a decent side that have relied upon a couple of talented individuals for too long. Kalmar have now just won twice in five games and their Allsvenskan title challenge looks rocky to say the least. Visitors IFK Goteborg were in a similar position to what Kalmar are now but in July when they lost Pontus Wernblom, ironically. However, IFK Goteborg are well and truly back now with no defeats in five games, winning three of them and drawing twice.  Whereas that’s a good source of information, the other convincing factor was that IFK Goteborg have won three out of their last three Allsvenskan games here without any great difficulty. In fact, here’s a statistic for you – Kalmar haven’t taken any points off IFK Goteborg in their last five Allsvenskan games at either ground. How about that for a confidence booster?? So yeah, 9/5 suddenly looks quite tempting, doesn’t it?

St.Gallen vs Young Boys Bern – away win at 10/11. I don’t think I can ever thank the bookies enough for drastically underestimating just how good Young Boys Bern actually are – long may it last! You’d have thought that their persistent victories over their rivals and tremendous form would be enough to show how good they are but apparently not! They’ve now won eight Super League games from ten, losing just once along the way and averaging 2.3 goals per game currently. Today they face newly-promoted St.Gallen, who are unbeaten at home so far in the Super League, although I can’t help but feel that’s about to change! No wins in three games and two defeats along the way means that St.Gallen are currently on a slippery slope and it’s about to get a whole lot more slippy as they host the best side in Switzerland. Everything about this game points to the away win so I’m more than happy to take it at 10/11.
